Julie and Britannie have been very close friends since they met down the shore on Tiki Monday 8 years ago. They grew close over the years being beach bums together and enjoying delicious foods and wines. Julie is an engineer gone chef who has created her own business and is now taking women who want to travel and enjoy the wonderful food and drink in different areas of certain countries on amazing fulfilling tours.
Over the years Britannie and Julie have become great friends through their many shared interests, their dogs Harvey and Gemma's secret love affair, but more importantly the support they give one another in their growth as human beings. Even better, Julie's partner Brian and the groom get along great sharing many of the same interests as well! It has been so much fun with them over the years.
You will be sure to have a great time partying with Julie at the wedding and Britannie is sure she will find some funny stories to share in her speech at the wedding. Make sure to ask her all about her travels!
Lisa Verducci - Maitron of Honor
Lisa and Britannie met at the Jersey shore 10 years ago, but became very close when they realized their mutual love and appreciation of good wines. Lisa and Britannie enjoy much of the summer shenanigans together, the joys of working out and pushing towards results, hanging poolside and letting their dogs Bentley and Gemma have play dates. Lisa and her husband James have become an important part of Britannie and Gerard's lives not only for the various shared common interests, but the support they have given one another over the years.
Most importantly, you can almost always guaranty Lisa is up for a good espresso martini, which the bride is also a big fan of. Lisa is a loyal friend, well versed in some good wines, a straight shooter and of course always a good time. The bride and Groom are so happy to have her as an important supporter of their big day!
Samantha Allen - Bridesmaid
Samantha and Britannie have been friends since they first met in college as roommates at Suffolk University in Boston close to 20 years ago! Samantha is the mother of Britannie's Godchildren and Britannie introduced Samantha to her husband Nick Allen. Aside from all this, Britannie and Sam both have parents who coincidentally worked in the same area of business going to the same trade shows! Britannie is so proud of Samantha for starting her own law firm specializing in estate planning and making it a clear success! Throughout the years they have gone on many vacations together, found new ways to cause trouble, and have always remained close friends. She is very aware of all that Britannie went through to finally get to this day where she finally found the man of her dreams.
Samantha, along with her family, has always been a supportive friend who is more like a sister in Britannie's life. Be sure to catch up with Samantha at the wedding she is a riot!
Britannie is so happy to have Samantha as part of her wedding party after all these years of friendship.
Narges Versteeg - Bridesmaid
Narges (Nar) and Britannie met about 6 years ago when they were living in the same apartment building in North Bergen, NJ. At first their friendship started with a connection through the love of running and working out together. Britannie and Nar got even closer when Nar and her husband Erik became an incredible almost daily support system for Britannie through tough times. The amount of dinners they've had together and countless dinners through COVID times especially were the times that made Nar and her husband gain a place as extended family for Britannie. When Nar got her first dog Ola with the influence of Britannie's dog Gemma she turned to Britannie for a lot of training advice and of course their dogs became best friends!
Britannie enjoys spending time with Nar's son Ezra (E-Z) and watching him grow. He has become a nephew to her over the years. In such a short period of time, Nar and her family have become an important part in the Bride and Groom's life.
Nar is a business owner who works hard, a wonderful mother (literally gives advice for a living), and a beyond loyal friend. She has been all over the world, speaks more languages than one can count, and has so much culture it is always fulfilling speaking with her.
Be sure to talk with Nar at the wedding she is an interesting and always smiling individual!
Lisa Kmonicek-Simpson - Bridesmaid
Lisa and Britannie have known each other the longest of all the friends having met each other in boarding school and being roommates at the age of 12. Over the years they have remained friends and have been there for each other through many important moments in life. While they lived in different states they always seemed to find a way to try to have an extended visit with each other at least once a year. Every time they see each other it's they always pick up where they left off.
Britannie loves knowing the possibility of maintaining such a great friendship for so long. They share many common interests, the main ones being the love of their dogs and love of winter sports. Lisa was always a part of the family especially when they would come to visit up at boarding school. Lisa is an incredible human teaching educationally challenged children as her job and she puts her whole heart into it.
Britannie is so happy to have Lisa and her husband Link at her wedding and cannot wait for you to meet them. Just don't hold it against her for being an Eagles fan.
Terri Lesniowski - Bridesmaid
Terri is the Gerard's first cousin and they are very close. Britannie already knew she would grow a liking to Terri knowing that she had the same relationship with Gerard that Britannie has with her first cousin Kyle...They are more like siblings the way they pick on each other, support each other and just their overall dynamic.
Terri is a fantastic cook, great mother and even better she is an overall good time! She has been a wonderful support to Britannie and Gerard's relationship and has already been a great bridesmaid. Britannie and Gerard always enjoy spending time with her and her husband Luke especially when they got to meet up in Nashville for some fun together earlier this year! We are truly thankful to have Terri a part of our big day, and Britannie is even happier to have her next to her as she and Gerard say their vows.
Oh and Terri knows how to throw a good party so be sure to spend some time with her at the wedding!
Raphael DeNicola - Best Man
Raph and I met through a mutual friend years ago and hit it off due to laziness(he ended up living right around the corner), and shared interests. We started out from some mountain biking to long distance bike rides, even a century mixed in there. We've also been on many adventures together, the monthly trips to AC, Caribbean vacations, some wild snowboarding trips, hell even the local ragers at 503 Watchung. My only worry about having this guy as my best man, is the speech! Not only does he know where all the dead bodies are buried, he probably helped! While there's been so much fun and games over the years, there's also been tragedy. When I lost my cats Jack and Gus, and again when I lost my dad, not only was this guy there for whatever I needed,he insisted. He got me back up on my feet, out of the house, moving and grooving again. I will be forever grateful, I just hope I've been equally as good as a friend. Even though he won't be my travel roommate we still have many more adventures ahead! The dynamic duo lives on!
Josh Lewitter - Best Man
Even though Josh is a skier, we've somehow become friends. I can't really think of our origin story at the moment, and it's crazy to think we've only been friends for around 10 years. Not only have we been on trips to where Josh learned to ski, Stratton Vermont, but we've been on a few out west as well. Somehow he still hates when there's too much snow, but that's for another day. Not only have Josh and I shared some great conversations on trips, sometimes even after I fell asleep, but pretty frequently. I can only really sum up our conversations as life. We can talk about anything and everything. From day to day life to geopolitical events, and we definitely don't know how we go there, nor do we have any idea what we're talking about. We've definitely had some good times together, both on our travels to chillin in my yard, again chatting about life. He's really opened me to some new perspectives and ways to think about life. If you're in need of a guy that will get you to buy a game that he'll never play, he's your guy.
Marc Ceraso - Groomsman
I've known this guy his whole life. We have a bit of an age gap, but it's crazy to think I've held him in my arms at some point. We've been through a lot together, our parents divorced when I was around 12, so Marc was around 4. We weren't as close growing up but have definitely grown closer as the years have gone on, especially after losing our dad in 2022. We've shared a love for games over the years, I remember when we were younger helping him build his first PC, definitely a fond memory of mine. And to be clear, we're talking about when CRTs were still a thing. His gaming has gone more towards board and card games over the recent years and I'm looking forward to more board game nights in the near future! And if your invitation is lost in the mail, you can blame him!
Eric Ando - Groomsman
I first met Eric on Brit's and my third date when she decided to bring me to her parents' house for Christmas — talk about throwing me to the wolves! He was so welcoming, though; he made me feel right at home. I'm glad I've gotten to know him better over the past few years and am looking forward to more sports talk. He's a passionate Jets fan, which is unfortunate, and also a Yankees fan, so hopefully, they don't disappoint this season. He has an incredible amount of knowledge about sports and stats. Sometimes, I can only hope to keep up with the conversation. If you're ever on the Upper East Side look for him walking his yellow lab Sable, likely wearing some buffalo plaid.
John Marte - Groomsman
If there's anything good that came from the pandemic, it's John's and my friendship. While our paths had crossed many times, our friendship grew during the pandemic with intense nights spent killing massive amounts of zombies and lassoing bounties on our horses (that's how I got Britannie to agree to marry me). It's crazy how competitive we can get with each other, sometimes over the dumbest things. While we still game, definitely more than Britannie would like, I'm sure, we've ventured out away from the screen! I got John out there on a snowboard doing some 'white guy' sports, even though he'll always be slower than me; it's cute that he tries. When we're not traveling the world virtually, you'll catch us on the volleyball court talking more trash to each other than to the other team.
Ted Zajac - Groomsman
This guy seemingly just appeared one day. I can't remember when we first met, but it's definitely been a while now. We've certainly had some fun times, both domestically and internationally. No one can order a steak from room service at 4 in the morning quite like he can. Many of our adventures seem to revolve around steak, or the lack thereof. Like that time in Montreal when he was served the steak from the children's menu, or when we convinced our vegan Uber driver on New Year's to drive us to White Castle after the masquerade ball. Definitely some memorable moments. But don't be misled; at heart, he's a family man, especially with his beautiful newborn baby, Miranda. He has always been there for me, not just in the good times but, more importantly, in the bad.
